Autumn Special Viewing: As a Way of Saying “Thank You”
September 15 (Sat) - 30 (Sun), 2012

This autumn at the Tokyo National Museum, in its 140th year, we are holding events and thematic exhibitions of masterpieces, all as a show of our appreciation. In a special two-week period, together with our visitors we will highlight the history of this museum, a place that has been supported by many people. Thematic Exhibition We are displaying donated masterpieces as a way of expressing our gratitude to all the people who have donated items to the museum, together with saying “Thank you” to our visitors. Events September 21 (Fri), 2012, is Special Thanks Day at the Tokyo National Museum. The museum will be open until 22:00, and there will be events including live music for the museum’s 140th ANNIVERSARY “J-WAVE MUSIC CELEBRATION”.

  Tokyo National Museum's 140th ANNIVERSARY "J-WAVE MUSIC CELEBRATION"
This is a collaborative event between Tokyo National Museum and J-WAVE (81.3 FM).

Free Admission to the Regular Exhibitions for Residents of Taito-ku!
At the Main Gate, please show a piece of identification that confirms your residency in Taito-ku (e.g., a personal ID card).

	In the period, September 15 (Sat)–30 (Sun), 2012, visitors to the Tokyo National Museum who are wearing kimonos will receive 100 yen off from the admission fee to the regular exhibitions. *Please note, this discount cannot be combined with other discounts.
