Temporary Opening of the Museum's North Gate, West Gate, and Black Gate (September 6–7)

During the event "Ueno Park's Northern Area Revitalization Project" (held on September 6 and 7) sponsored by Taito City, visitors can pass through the North Gate, West Gate, and Black Gate, which are normally closed to the public.

 

  • Visitors can enter and exit the museum grounds through these two gates: North Gate and West Gate.
  • The Black Gate can only be passed through when leaving the museum grounds.
  • All these three gates (North Gate, West Gate, and Black Gate) will open at 10 a.m. These gates will be closed at 5 p.m. each day.
  • *There are no ticket booths at these three gates. Ticket booths are located at the Main Gate.
  • *Tickets can be purchased in advance.

  • Free Wi-Fi will temporarily be available around the North Gate and West Gate.
