Cultural Exchange Day for Foreign Students Come and learn more about Japanese Traditional Culture and Art!
Free Admission for a Foreign Student upon Presentation of Your Student ID!

The Cultural Exchange Day is designed for students studying in Japan from foreign countries to enjoy and deepen their understanding about Japanese art and culture.
On Wednesday, November 23, 2005, foreign students will be admitted free to all regular exhibitions of the Honkan (Japanese Gallery), Toyokan (Asian Gallery), Heiseikan (Japanese Archaeology Gallery) and the Gallery of Horyuji Treasures (current student ID required upon entrance). Our garden will be open to the public on the day for visitors to enjoy autumnal views.
There will be special programs for foreign students, such as lectures, docent tours and tea ceremony experiences (programs are mainly held in Japanese only.)

* N.B. Special exhibitions "HOKUSAI" and "Splendid and Refined: Imari Ware and Kyoto Ware Ceramics" are charged separately.

 Introduction of the Museum "Welcome to the Tokyo National Museum"

 Lecture "Tokugawa Japan and its influence upon modern Japan"

 Guided Tours

- Highlight tour of Honkan(Japanese Gallery), meets at the Honkan Entrance Hall
- Japanese Ceramics, meets at the Honkan Entrance Hall
- Japanese Sculpture, meets at the Honkan Entrance Hall
- Japanese Archaeology, meets at Japanese Archaeology Gallery, the Heiseikan
- The Horyuji Treasures, meets at The Gallery of Horyuji Treasures Entrance Hall

- Ukiyo-e Prints, meets at the Honkan Entrance Hall
14:30 - 15:00
- Trees at the Tokyo National Museum, meets at the Honkan Entrance Hall
 Japanese Green Tea Service at the teahouses Kujokan and Okyokan

meets at the teahouses Kujokan and Okyokan in the garden, served for 150 people for each session in order of arrival.
* Tea ceremonies will be performed in Okyokan at 13:00,14:00 and 15:00.
 Japanese Songs Concert by Quartet SAKURA
