Japanese Gallery (Honkan) Room 14
December 1, 2020 (Tue) - February 21, 2021 (Sun)
Featuring some of the more rarely exhibited works in the Museum’s collection, this thematic exhibition presents a fresh look at Chinese sculpture as it traces its development from early, minimalistic tomb figures to more naturalistic Buddhist sculpture of later periods. Viewed in tandem with notable works in the Museum’s Asian Gallery, the exhibition offers a unique glimpse into the rich and diverse world of Chinese sculpture.
