Flower Vase with Lugs
This flower vase represents the concept of [wabi], which embraces simplicity and imperfection. The shape of the vase was intentionally distorted while the clay was still soft. It was fired in a wood-burning kiln for multiple days, resulting in a stony texture accented with melted ash.
