Our sensory maps provide sensory information, such as light and sound levels, to help visitors with sensory sensitivities have a comfortable experience at our museum. They provide three categories of information to suit individual needs. “Seating areas” highlight areas where seating is available and where eating and drinking are allowed. “Sound information” shows areas where there might be noise or loud sounds, and “Light information” displays areas that may be too bright or have natural light. If you have any sensory concerns, these maps can help you avoid potentially stimulating areas or identify resting spots before your visit.
(Note) Sensory maps differ from accessibility maps.
The Hyokeikan is open only during special exhibitions and events.
No sensory map is available for this building, as conditions vary according to the exhibition or event.
