He was also an accomplished calligrapher, and his calligraphic style, which was later called the “Sanmyaku’in style” after his artistic name, was passed down to his adopted son, Nobuhiro, and became widely admired. This exhibition presents the beauty of Konoe Nobutada’s calligraphy as well as Sanmyaku’in-style calligraphic works by his followers.
