One of the annual events of the late Edo period was the all-star Kabuki performances (Kaomise Kyogen)held in November of the lunar calendar. This exhibit introduces Kabuki, one of the three major entertainment of Edo through costumes from the end of the Edo period, ukiyo-e prints of star actors in their roles and uki-e prints depicting the inside of Kabuki stages.
