July 20, 2021 (Tue) - September 26, 2021 (Sun)Takaki Seikaku (1923–2017) was an accomplished calligrapher, collector, and a recipient of the Person of Cultural Merit Award from the Japanese government. Mr. Takaki collected fragments of calligraphy from the Heian period (794–1185) and decided to donate thirty of these works to the Tokyo National Museum before he passed away in 2017. In this exhibition, we are displaying a selection of calligraphy fragments from his collection.
