October 2, 2018 (Tue) - December 16, 2018 (Sun)Textiles of the Liao dynasty come in a variety of styles, including woven textiles and items with embroidery or dyed patterns. Comparing Japanese textiles created in the same period in history with these Liao-dynasty textiles would provide clues for uncovering the techniques used for Heian-period textiles, whose existing examples are limited in number.
