This exhibition shows various genres of ukiyo-e prints and paintings featuring cherry blossom. Included are works depicting places in Edo (present-day Tokyo) famous for cherry blossom, such as Ueno, Gotenyama, Yoshiwara, Asukayama, and the Sumida river. Also on exhibit are a portrait of a Kabuki actor holding a cherry-tree branch as well as works which depict birds with cherry blossom.
