January 14, 2009 (Wed) - April 5, 2009 (Sun)In coordination with the thematic exhibition "Indian Miniature Painting", this exhibit will feature chintz of India. A variety of works is on view, hand-painted, woodblock-printed, or both methods applied, some decorated with gold. Indian chintz were used widely, not only domestically but exported to Persia, Thailand and European countries.
