New Year's Celebration at the Tokyo National Museum

It's time for the New Year’s Celebration at the Tokyo National Museum. Visitors will find a range of artworks and objects featuring auspicious designs perfect for the New Year. These include Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji: A Mild Breeze on a Fine Day by Katsushika Hokusai and the National Treasure, Pine Trees, by Hasegawa Tohaku. As 2016 is the Year of the Monkey, this year’s first Thematic Exhibition will feature monkey-themed artworks. Traditional entertainment such as drum and lion dance performances will add to the festivities. Tokyo National Museum will welcome you on the New Year!
