This armor from the late 1500s combines Japanese and European elements. The breastplate and backplate are modeled on European armor. The breastplate is decorated with a skull and the character for “heaven,” while the backplate features an image of Mount Fuji. The rabbit ears on the helmet embody the wish for speed and agility.
