September 22, 2021 (Wed) - March 21, 2022 (Mon)
Few of the metal weapons created in ancient and medieval Japan have survived to present day, excluding those preserved as heirlooms. As a result, metal weapons unearthed during excavations are valuable finds. This section of the gallery compares ancient Japanese weapons with a Mongolian ceramic grenade, which was used by the Mongolian armada during the Mongol invasions of the late 13th century.
