Kangli Naonao was a high-ranking official of Turkic descent. In contrast to Zhao Mengfu (1254–1322) ― a prominent calligrapher who was active earlier than him, Naonao developed a novel, unrestrained style of calligraphy. This scroll contains three poems, as well as colophons by several renowned calligraphers.
