Depicted here is Suruga-chō, located in what is now Nihonbashi in Tokyo. It was so named after Suruga Province in present-day Shizuoka Prefecture, where Mt. Fuji is located, for its view of the famous mountain. Echigoya, the shop with blue curtains here, is now the Mitsukoshi Department Store in Nihonbashi today.
