From the late 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, expeditions to Central Asia were dispatched from European and other various countries. Excavations and research of the collected artifacts revealed that in Central Asia, a unique culture based on Buddhism developed from the 3rd to the 15th century. In this room, artifacts brought back from Central Asia by the Otani and other expeditions are displayed.
