Features of the Gallery of Horyuji Treasures

  • This building is not usually crowded. Seating is available in the entrance, resting area, and some of the exhibition rooms. A restaurant is located on the first floor. Beverages in lidded containers are allowed in areas other than the exhibition rooms, but eating is not permitted.

[Sound information]

  • It is relatively quiet here, but faint sounds can be heard from the air-conditioning system and other equipment. Regular and special announcements are made through speakers installed throughout the building.

[Light information]

  • To protect the artworks, the exhibition rooms are kept dimly lit. However, brightness varies according to the room, as the lighting is adjusted to suit each exhibit. The building has glass walls, and the entrance and resting area receive natural light. There are digital displays in some places in the building.
