    Important Cultural Properties are buildings, paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, calligraphy, books, archaeological items, ancient writings and other historical items that have been deemed culturally or scientifically important to Japan. From among these, items that are inherently superior or have a high scientific value are designated National Treasures.

    This exhibition contains 40 items, which were newly designated National Treasures or Important Cultural Properties in 2005. Please enjoy the rare opportunity to see these numerous important items.
