Japanese Archaeology and Special Exhibition (Heiseikan) Thematic Exhibition Room
May 11, 2021 (Tue) - June 27, 2021 (Sun)
Every year at the Tokyo National Museum, an animal-themed exhibition is held in collaboration with Ueno Zoo and the National Museum of Nature and Science.
This year’s theme is "How Animals Move." The first part of the exhibition contains works that dynamically capture the different ways animals move—creeping, sprinting, flying, leaping, and more. It also includes works in which the lively movements of animals are enhanced by the ways their surroundings are depicted. The second part shows works featuring animals we know from myths and folktales that behave like us.
See what kinds of moving animals you can find!
