Group Visits

Reservations

From April 1, 2022, visitors can view the regular exhibitions without making reservations. Please purchase your ticket at the ticket booth by the Main Gate.

The number of people in each building will be monitored; visitors may be asked to wait when any of the buildings becomes too crowded.

Special exhibitions require a separate ticketing procedure. Please check their official websites for details.

 

Parking

Parking spaces are not available on the museum premises. Please use a nearby parking facility.

Restaurants and Lounges

There are not any dining areas exclusively for large groups of visitors on the museum premises. Please use the lounge in the Heiseikan and outdoor benches placed around the museum grounds if having food and drinks that you have brought in with you. While group visitors are welcome to dine at the museum’s restaurants, please be aware that they tend to be crowded, especially during special exhibition periods.

 

School Group Visits

The museum offers the following admission fees for the convenience of visitors on integrated learning programs or school trips.

  • Elementary, junior high, and high school students as well as accompanying teachers: Free admission to regular exhibitions
  • Teachers making a prior visit to plan educational activities: Free admission to regular exhibitions

* Separate rules apply for each special exhibition. Please ask for details at the time of your visit.

 

Requesting Pamphlets

Please contact the following office to request copies of pamphlets prior to your group visit.
* Postage fees must be paid by the customer and will be collected on delivery.
* Addresses outside Japan are not eligible for delivery.
