December 12, 2023 (Tue) - June 23, 2024 (Sun)Kai Chōshizuka tumulus was constructed in the latter half of the 4th century in present-day Yamanashi Prefecture. With its length of 169 meters, it is one of the largest keyhole-shaped tumuli in eastern Japan from the 3rd and 4th centuries in the early Kofun period. One of the factors associated with the construction of this large tumulus, which is attracting much attention, is quartz crystal that was mined in the region and became the source of authority.
