Ancient Japanese glazed stoneware includes stoneware glazed with ash, three-color, and green glazes. Such varieties of Japanese stoneware evolved while being greatly influenced by imported equivalents, such as glazed porcelain and celadon-glazed stoneware, which were brought in through trade from continental Asia and the Korean Peninsula.
