This exhibition examines the appearance of women in Noh through their unique costumes. Visitors are invited to view it in combination with the thematic exhibition Expressions on Masks for Female Roles in room 14 on the first floor. The depiction of women in Noh should come to light through these two exhibitions.

Nuihaku (Noh costume), Design of paulownia, phoenix, reed, cherry blossom, and snow-covered bamboo at shoulders and skirts on white ground, Formerly owned by the Konparu troupe, Nara, Azuchi-Momoyama period, 16th century (Important Cultural Property)
Karaori (Noh costume), Bamboo curtain, shikishi and tanzaku paper, and bush clover design on red and green checkered ground, Edo period, 18th century
