This is the 12th in a series of annual exhibitions showcasing conservation and restoration work conducted on objects in the Tokyo National Museum collection.
The objects and photo panels in this exhibition offer insight into the wide variety of conservation and restoration techniques used behind the scenes at the museum.

Bridge with willow trees and water mill, Artist unknown, Azuchi-Momoyama - Edo period, 16th - 17th century (Important Art Object)
Kosode Garment Paulownia tree design on white figured satin ground, Edo period, 17th - 18th century
Haniwa (Terracotta tomb ornament), Excavated from Nishinagaoka-cho, Ota-shi, Gunma, Kofun period, 6th century
Vishnu, Prasat Olok, Cambodia, Acquired through exchange with l'École Française d'Extrême-Orient, Angkor period, 12th century
