Past Guided Tours & Events

This is a paid program that combines a guided tour with hands-on cultural experiences, designed for those who are new to Japanese art and history.
During the guided tour on the second floor of the Japanese Gallery (Honkan), we will introduce some of the best works on display, along with their historical background, with a focus on samurai, kimono, and the tea ceremony.
In addition to the tour, participants will also enjoy cultural experiences held in a traditional Japanese house, which is usually closed to the public.

This comprehensive plan also includes a matcha whisking experience.

• This program is primarily designed for international visitors who may be less familiar with Japanese art and history.
• This program is suitable for participants aged 12 and above.
• Kimono sizes are available for individuals 140 cm tall and above.
