Complimentary original gift: Receive an original tenugui (Japanese hand towel).

Monday–Friday, 9:30 am–5:00 pm; not available on weekends and public holidays.
On days when the museum is closed, we will offer special access to the Gallery of Horyuji Treasures (except Room 3) for visitors who come to the Tokyo National Museum. This trial program was inspired by the number of international visitors who have come to the museum on closed days. All visitors arriving on these days are eligible to participate.
The event will also be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
