The Tokyo National Museum will renovate its ticket booths at the Main Gate (the booths will reopen in April 15, 2014). Renovation work will begin in mid-June 2013.

We apologize to visitors for any inconvenience this may cause.

As a part of the renovation work, the statue of Edward Jenner (located to the right of the Main Gate upon entry) will temporarily be placed in storage. From June 19, 2013, until the renovation work is completed, visitors will be unable to view this statue.

Due to facility maintenance, “e-Museum,” “Digital Archives,” and “Image Search” will not be available from 18:00 on June 16 to 9:00 on June 19, 2013. The museum will also be unable to receive e-mails during this period. However, “Library Catalogue Search” will be available as usual.

Free or discount entry to 77 facilities in Tokyo.
On Sale: From April 1, 2013 through January 31, 2014.
Validity: 2 months from the date of your first admission (final expiration date will be March 31, 2014)
