This reliquary is an important artifact for understanding how people dressed at the time in Kucha, China. It was shaped into a short log with a potter's wheel, and then covered with hemp cloth and painted with this design. The lid features parrots, pheasants, and winged figures performing music, while the body features musicians and masked dancers.
