Purpose
The purpose of Tokyo National Museum’s social media accounts is to share in a timely fashion information about the Museum’s exhibitions, collections, events, research, and educational programs.

About following, sharing, liking, and replying to comments
As a general rule, we do not follow or send friend requests to other users' accounts. Please note that we do not accept friend requests to these social media accounts. We will also not retweet on Twitter, repost on Instagram, share “likes” on any platform, or comment or reply to other users' accounts. However, we may follow the accounts of related organizations and institutions, and share, retweet, or repost information from other museums, art galleries, or media outlets when deemed appropriate.

Deleting of comments and posts
Tokyo National Museum reserves the right to delete all or part of comments and posts that do not relate to TNM’s contents, fall under the list of prohibited comments below, or block accounts without prior notice.

- Comments and posts that are offensive to public order and morals.
- Comments and posts that violate (or may potentially violate) laws and regulations.
- Comments and posts that promote criminal acts.
- Comments and posts that discriminate against or slander a third party, or violate privacy or human rights.
- Comments and posts that are intended for political, religious, or commercial activities.
- Comments and posts that are false or significantly different from the truth.
- Comments and posts that infringe on the copyrights, image rights, or other intellectual property rights of Tokyo National Museum or a third party.
- Comments and posts that violate the terms of use of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube.
- Any content that modifies, in part or in full, contents transmitted by Tokyo National Museum.
- Any other information deemed inappropriate by Tokyo National Museum, as well as links and websites that contain such contents.

Intellectual Property Rights
The intellectual property rights of the texts, images, and other materials on these accounts belong to Tokyo National Museum and other parties with legitimate rights. Users may use sharing functions such as following and liking on each social media platform, sharing contents on Facebook, reposting on Instagram, and retweeting on Twitter.
