This autumn at the Tokyo National Museum, in its 140th year, we are holding events and thematic exhibitions of masterpieces, all as a show of our appreciation. In a special two-week period, together with our visitors we will highlight the history of this museum, a place that has been supported by many people. |

Tokyo National Museum's 140th ANNIVERSARY "J-WAVE MUSIC CELEBRATION"
This is a collaborative event between Tokyo National Museum and J-WAVE (81.3 FM).
Details of the live music is posted on the J-WAVE website (in Japanese).

Opening hours: 16:00 – 22:00 (last orders at 21:20)
Location: In front of the Toyokan entrance
Free Admission to the Regular Exhibitions for Residents of Taito-ku!
At the Main Gate, please show a piece of identification that confirms your residency in Taito-ku (e.g., a personal ID card).

In the period, September 15 (Sat)–30 (Sun), 2012, visitors to the Tokyo National Museum who are wearing kimonos will receive 100 yen off from the admission fee to the regular exhibitions. *Please note, this discount cannot be combined with other discounts. |

University Students: 400 (300) yen
High/Junior High/Elementary School Students and persons under 18 and over 70: Free
* Free admission to regular exhibitions on Monday, September 17.
* ( ) indicate prices for those in groups of 20 or more.
* Persons with disability and one person accompanying them are admitted free of charge.
* Regular admission is free for persons under 18 and over 70. Please show proof of age (driver's license, passport, etc.) when entering.
