Art of the Samurai: Selections from the Tokyo National Museum
Tokyo National Museum is holding an exhibition of our collections featuring objects related to the samurai warriors class at Bowers Museum (Santa Ana, California) in the United States. This exhibition is based on "Samurai - Treasures of the Japanese Daimyo", which was received in much popularity in Moscow last year. The culture of the Japanese warrior class is introduced in two parts: "Arms and Armor" and "Life of the Warrior Class". 81 pieces from our collection, including the masterpieces "Ichimonji Sukezane Sword" (National Treasure) and "Illustrated Scroll of the Tale of Obusuma Saburo" (Important Cultural Property) are on view.
